About us

The Elms Dental Practice has been established for over 30 years and in 1990, Kenton Payne, the current practice owner, joined as an associate after graduating from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry. He took over the practice in 2002 and is now supported by our Associate Dentist, Tanya Burton, who qualified in 1999 at Guy’s Hospital in London. Our hygienist, Sarah Bokota, completes our friendly team of practitioners who are assisted by caring dental nurses and our welcoming receptionist, Karen.

Our philosophy

We believe that prevention should lie firmly at the core of modern dentistry. From your very first visit, we aim to get to know you so we can customise your dental care and reduce the need for any future treatment.

Our philosophy is to provide minimally invasive, aesthetically pleasing dentistry, which we achieve by using a mix of modern materials and the latest techniques.

We also understand that many people may feel apprehensive about visiting the dentist so we take the time to listen to your concerns within our relaxing surroundings. Our aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible and the fact that most of our new patients stem from existing patients’ personal recommendations is testament to the warmth of our approach.

Training and regulations

Each member of our staff is committed to refreshing and adding to their skills to keep on top of any developments in the ever evolving field of dentistry.

We are committed to working within the recommendations of our governing bodies and are registered with the GDC and The Care Quality Commission. The practice also has British Dental Association Expert membership.
