Following the new advice from the central government on easing the lockdown we would like to update all of our valued patients on where we are in dentistry.
We hope to be back at work soon, but currently the guidance still limits us to providing advice and support rather than face to face interaction with our patients.
Over the lockdown period we have been helping patients to secure and maintain their oral health with advice and support. We have also been compiling a priority list of patients with problems that require prompt treatment, so that we can arrange appointments as soon as possible once we receive the go-ahead to open again.
We will keep up to date with any new PPE requirements and protocols to ensure that when we do open we can ensure the safety of our patients, staff and clinicians.
In the meantime we await advice as to when it will be possible to open our doors again. If you have a problem or concern please do not hesitate to contact us in the usual ways using email or telephone. The answerphone is checked regularly throughout the day at times when the phone is unmanned so your queries will always be answered promptly. We will keep you abreast of any advice, as and when we receive it as to when we are likely to be open again. Currently we have been told by the Chief Dental Officer that the end of June is probably the earliest we can expect to resume face to face contact with patients.
It is as important as ever during this time that we do all we can to avoid dental problems so please take a look at the information and advice in this website, which we hope will help you to look after your teeth and gums.
Best wishes, The Elms team.
